“Woo-Hoo Wednesday”

For those of you that are not aware of this, Helen and I now host a radio show on the internet radio station, ‘Radio Once More’. We broadcast LIVE from our home, every other Wednesday evening from 9PM to 12 midnight. We call it “At Home With Holmsey” on “Woo-Hoo Wednesday”, although it’s usually referred to…”Woo-Hoo Wednesday”. We have been on since June, and on the show, Helen and I play music, sometimes perform a sketch, play comedy, and of course play some classic Old Time Radio. Helen also has a ‘Beatles Break’ where she features a Beatles song, and she also writes and recites a ‘Haiku’. We also sometimes feature a guest or an interview and we usually have a topic of discussion that we ‘throw out’ to the listeners. We communicate and interact with the listeners via Facebook and by email. During the course of a typical show, we have a little bit of everything, including some fun sound effects and of course……loads of Woo-Hoos!!!!!!

Our next ‘Woo-Hoo Wednesday’ will be Wednesday, September 24th, where we will have a discussion with author, TV historian, and Batman expert, Mr. Joel Eisner. His book, “The Official Batman Batbook” , is considered the definitive book about the 1960’s TV series ‘Batman’. Our ‘topic of discussion’ for the night will be‘ Classic TV Shows’ and our sketch will be ‘Star Trek’ related. We also plan to take requests and play some Classic TV Show Themes as they are requested by the listeners.
